cerita kedai kopi!

Okays, while I’m away, lemme introduce to you this song, that is, if you’ve not heard it before.

It’s been playing on XFresh FM so frequently.. Or at least almost every other time I’m in the car. Hahhaha.

Other than that, I likeeeeeyyyy this song very muchiiieeeee!

A local scenario, turned into a song!

A simple song.. Yet, it’s also a song which can be interpreted in many different ways.

So here’s it! The niceeeey song! (Which kept playing in my mind during my last paper today. Hahaha.)

Last Words.

Last day of the year. Hm.

Well, I really appreciate Aunty Sze for lending me this book, The Bait of Satan. When I read the first few pages… I was thinking what this book has had got to do with me. Haha. But I just read it somehow. And these few weeks reading it, has been a blessing.

It’s simply a great way to end “my” year two thousand eight, clearing out the messes I never knew I had. And also, this book gives a lot of Biblical references.

I mean. I like the way the author sees different perspectives of especially, David and Saul and the difference between Absalom and David.

Yeah, and it made me realise that Jesus actually said some things which I read so many times and did not realise it?

Like when He responded to John the Baptist, when John was in prison and he sent some of his disciples to ask if Jesus was the Messiah, or did he have to wait for someone else.

Luke 7:22-23
“Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Yeap. That. Well, actually sharing what I’ve got from this book would be really really superly long. And everything inside it is. Like. Speaking into my life. So. Even if I do share, it’s like. You might as well read it on your own? Haha.

It is seriously a good book to read. And it’s kind of easy going.

So, let me just share a few lines from the book which I really found interesting. I hope it would give you some insight.

Physical growth is a function of time.
Intellectual growth is a function of learning.
Spiritual growth is neither a function of time or learning, but it is a function of obedience.

We cannot lay down our lives for God unless we know Him well enough to trust Him. We must know and understand the nature and character of God. We must have the assurance that He would never do anything to harm us… If you have given yourself totally to Jesus and are committed to His care, you cannot be offended because you are not your own. Those who are hurt and disappointed are those who have come to Jesus for what He can do for them, not because of who He is.

When we seek to correct the wrong done to us, we set ourselves up as a judge.

Aside that, I’m gonna miss some people who played a part in my life. Sometimes just so shocking to hear that they are leaving. Um. Cos it’s so sudden? Yeah.

Firstly, Hairi! My playmate? Haha. Not of the same class, but he comes over for Geography classes. And he’s really cute! Especially when he’s mischievous! Hehe!

Too bad I don’t have a good photo of him. Didn’t expect him to leave so fast. He just called me up at the end of November, saying that he’s leaving to KL to study some course related to F&B. So. Here’s him, the one in orange.

jokerjokers again?jokerssss

Secondly, my seniors! Okay, to be more specific, Mr Lee Tian Woon, my so-called brother (WTH right? HAHA.) since I entered SMKTHO. Just because of his name. But it’s okay lah. Got free protection since he was Head Prefect.

Haha. Yeah, thanks for bearing with all those stuff that washes you white. But I can say that it was fun though, washing you. Haha.

You’ve been a great senior.. and brother? Heh. All the best for what’s ahead (I know you sort of hate this). But maybe if I say it, you won’t hate it. Haha.

I can’t believe that I’m actually trying to say nice things about you now, but it all turns out to be like. Washing you man. Hah. Yeah. I better stop.

Haha. Okies. Photo of him. I’m still waiting for my Lover to send it to me. To us. Hmm.

So yeah. That’s all. For the last post of this year.

Kau genggam tanganku

Saat diriku lemah dan terjatuh

Kau bisikkan kata dan hapus semua sesalku

Janganlah kau tinggalkan diriku

Takkan mampu menghadapi semua

Hanya bersamamu ku akan bisa

Kau adalah darahku

Kau adalah jantungku

Kau adalah hidupku

Lengkapi diriku

Oh sayangku, kau begitu

Sempurna… Sempurna…

This song, Sempurna by Andra & The Backbone has been on my mind for the past few days. Especially during Mikroekonomi period… Learning about anjal sempurna.. Hahha.

This song reminds me of… well.

Come to think of it, isn’t it like how our Heavenly Father loves and upholds us?
And isn’t it true that without Him, we are nothing?

It reminds me of His blood shed for us on the cross.
And that we have Him in our hearts, the One who breathed life into us.

He isn’t just sempurna, but more than sempurna.
Just like I learn that nilai keanjalan sempurna is infinity, He is indescribable.

The craft of composing type and printing from it.

It’s amazing to see how people actually create sets and sets of fonts! And how they match them with advertisements, magazines, CD albums, etc. etc. etc.

It’s not that easy coming out with a set of font which isn’t “manipulated” by the fonts we see or use. Or say, it’s hard to come out with an “original” set of font.

I’ve been looking around for fonts.. for some project.. and the more I look at fonts, the more I realise how unique and at the same time, how detailed each alphabet, punctuation mark and number is.. Ahhh! It’s intricacy! So urgh!

It’s funny to be so intrigued with fonts…

Haha. And so I laugh of it’s funniness in me.

If interested, here’s a font site I consider best: Da Font

Prisc and I were ‘jaga-ing’ 4Sc2 during recess. We were going back to class and we came across a crucifix (fairly large one) before we hit the staircase. Well, it’s a normal thing to see crucifixes there (old buildings in our school have crucifixes, even in the classrooms). But this time, as we looked closely to the cross, we read IN RI above Jesus’ head. We wonder what it meant… and ta-da! I found it!

What do the letters “INRI” on the crucifix mean?

The letters “INRI” are initials for the Latin title that Pontius Pilate had written over the head of Jesus Christ on the cross (John 19:19). Latin was the official language of the Roman Empire.

The words were “Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm.” Latin uses “I” instead of the English “J”, and “V” instead of “U” (i.e., Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum). The English translation is “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”

The Early Church adopted the first letters of each word of this inscription “INRI” as a symbol. Throughout the centuries INRI has appeared in many paintings of the crucifixion.

By the way, Pilate’s title for Christ was actually written in three languages.

And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, “Write not, ‘The King of the Jews;’ but that he said, ‘I am King of the Jews’.” Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.”                                    John 19:19-22 (KJV)

Love it!

Adegan IIIHang Jebat sampai ke istana Puteri Hang Li Po. Mereka bernyanyi lagu duet, lagu “Menuju Harapan” ciptaan lagu dan liriknya oleh A.R. Ismail.

Hang Jebat: Dayang yang manis penyeri istana

Bolehkah hamba hendak bertanya

Sudahkah ada pujaan di hati … sayang

Supaya hamba tak ternanti-nanti.

Dang Wangi: Wah Abang Jebat kiranya

Wahai pahlawan yang gagah menawan

Terasa malu hendak dijelaskan

Mungkin pahlawan sekadar menduga … sayang

Rindu di hati tidak terkira.

Hang Jebat: Jikalah benar apa yang dikata

Sudikah wangi menerima hamba.

Dang Wangi: Hamba menanti wahai pahlawanku

Akan berbakti sepanjang hayatku.

Hang Jebat: Terima kasih si manis rupawan

Kita bersama menuju harapan.

Hang Jebat/Dang Wangi: Marilah kita sama mendoakan … sayang agar harapan kita dikabulkan.

Adegan IIIKembali di taman larangan Puteri Hang Li Po. Kelihatan Puteri Hang Li Po di situ. Ia sedang gelisah menunggu. Sekejap menunggu masuk Dang Wangi dan Hang Jebat. Puteri Hang Li Po membiarkan Dang Wangi pergi.
